The inspiration behind the title “Meet Me There”:
“Naming my work is my favorite part of painting, and it comes to me without any hesitation during the process. The “meet me there” series is one of them; it’s a peaceful place where I know I can find God. The green hills feel lusher, the trees are more magnificent, the sun kissing the grass feels warmer. Each blade of grass is purposely placed - and I can almost feel the breeze on my face and the mist of rain in the distance if I stay there long enough. It feels just like how I picture heaven to be. I’m forever asking God to “meet me there” in the midst of angst and sorrow; where there’s no such thing as time, and I’m met with safety, warmth, stillness and peace.” —Hannah Winters
